Terms of Service

Short, because there is nothing for sale.

Use of the site

You may read, link to and quote this site with attribution. You may use the code samples in your own projects; they are provided as simplified examples without warranty of any kind. Do not republish whole pages, and do not present the case studies as your own results.

What the site is

The Bot Ledger is educational material about building trading bots for prediction-market exchanges. It is not an exchange, a broker, a signal service or an investment adviser, and it holds no money on your behalf. The interactive tools on the home page (the map, the breakeven calculator, the location check and the latency check) run in your browser and give indicative figures only.

No warranty

The site is provided as is. No promise is made that any information is accurate, complete or current, that any code works, or that any strategy makes money. Use it at your own risk.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for complying with each exchange's terms, rate limits and geographic restrictions, and with the laws that apply to you. The location warning on this site is a convenience, not legal advice.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the site owner is not liable for any loss arising from the use of this site, including trading losses, lost data or downtime of any third-party service described here.

Third-party services

Pages link to exchanges, hosting providers and documentation run by other companies. Their terms, fees and availability are theirs to change, and this site has no control over them. Prices shown in the live ticker come from the exchanges' public APIs and can be delayed or wrong.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the bottom of this page is the date they were last updated. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
